Joe Gqabi District Municipality LED Office Hosts Two-Day Supplier’s Day Programme in Nqanqarhu and Tlokoeng
The Joe Gqabi District Municipality Local Economic Development (LED) Office successfully hosted a two-day Supplier’s Day Programme, with sessions held in Nqanqarhu and Tlokoeng. The initiative brought together local Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) to equip them with vital knowledge and resources that will strengthen their participation in supply chain processes.
Day one of the programme took place in Maclear, where SMMEs were guided on the essentials of Supply Chain Management (SCM) practices and the importance of compliance in procurement opportunities. Today, the second session in Mt Fletcher continued this empowerment drive, reinforcing the need for SMMEs to keep their business documents updated in order to remain competitive when responding to advertised bids.
The two-day event once again highlighted the municipality’s commitment to supporting local enterprises, driving economic inclusion, and creating opportunities for growth. By ensuring that small businesses are well-informed and compliant, the Joe Gqabi District Municipality is fostering an environment where SMMEs can thrive, contribute to job creation, and play a meaningful role in the district’s economic development.
