The Joe Gqabi District Municipality is proud to present its Service Delivery Highlights 2021–2026, a publication documenting key high-impact interventions undertaken during the current term of Council, from November 2021 to November 2026.
The publication brings together major projects and initiatives implemented by Joe Gqabi District Municipality, the Joe Gqabi Economic Development Agency (JoGEDA) and the three local municipalities — Elundini, Senqu and Walter Sisulu — across key areas including
- Water and sanitation
- Roads and infrastructure
- Fire and disaster management
- Digital connectivity and public Wi-Fi
- Local economic development and investment
- Community development and essential services
From expanding access to reliable water and strengthening sanitation infrastructure, to improving road networks, disaster response capacity, connectivity and economic opportunities, the publication provides a snapshot of the work undertaken across communities throughout the district.
The booklet also recognises that service delivery is a collective effort, made possible through collaboration between municipalities, communities, government departments, development partners, traditional leaders, contractors, local businesses and municipal officials.
