The Joe Gqabi District Municipality proudly welcomed the second group of students from Retamar College in Spain to Ekhephini as part of the ongoing partnership with the Khaya Lokukhanya Project and the Komati Foundation.
The students have travelled thousands of kilometres to dedicate their holiday to serving local communities, continuing a meaningful partnership that has been transforming lives since 2014 through cultural exchange, volunteerism and community development.
Executive Mayor Cllr Nomvuyo Mposelwa welcomed the group and encouraged them about kindness. “Although we come from different countries, cultures and languages, we are united by our shared commitment to improving the lives of others. May your stay in Joe Gqabi be filled with meaningful learning, lasting friendships and unforgettable memories”, she said.
Join us in welcoming the Spanish students to Joe Gqabi! Together, we continue to strengthen international friendship, inspire servant leadership and make a lasting difference in our communities.
